Vocational Education
Vocational programs in Quebec have been gaining more and more popularity over the years due to the vast about of job opportunities and earning potential. Students pursuing a vocational education can pursue things such as: hairdressing, auto mechanics, plumbing, electrician, interior design, nursing, and many more.

Register for Vocational programs as soon as you meet the entrance criteria. For most programs you must have successfully completed secondary 4 French, English and Math and be 16 years of age before the end of September. Some programs are very popular and have long waiting lists, so apply as soon as possibly even if you are still in high school. You can inform the school as to when you will be available to begin.
Register online at www.srafp.com/default.aspx. LBPSB will waive the 6 dollar application fee. Once you have applied on the website the school will contact you to set up a appointment.
Open Houses will take place some of the centres. Please check individual websites for more information about program options. The LBPSB vocational centers are as follows:

Verdun (Plumbing & Heating, Residential & Commercial Drafting..)
Open House: October 29th, 10 am-8 pm
Gordon Robertson Beauty Academy (Esthetics, Electrolysis, Hairdressing)
Open House: November 20th from 2-8pm
